Brooke Raboutou Secures Silver
23-year-old Brooke Raboutou of the United States is officially bringing home the Silver medal from the Summer 2024 Climbing Olympics, and it couldn’t be more deserved! She fought hard on every route in the Semifinals and Finals, showing viewers around the world what hard work, dedication, and smiling amidst the stress of performing on a global stage can achieve.
And this win is likely extra sweet for Brooke, seeing as she competed in the Tokyo Olympic Finals in 2021, but did not make it onto the podium due to an early slip on the Lead route. Since the Tokyo Olympics, Brooke has graduated from college and continued working hard on her climbing skills in preparation for international climbing competitions, including the 2024 Olympics.
In Paris, all of that hard work was on full display – her (seemingly) effortless grace on the wall, growth in dynamic movement, and overall power & stamina showed everyone that Brooke was serious about getting onto the podium this year!
Brooke will be the first female climber from the U.S. to bring back a medal from the Climbing Olympics, and the climbing community couldn’t be more ecstatic!
